Where is the Gatwick North Terminal pick up point?
Follow the signs for North Terminal and Short Stay parking, then for Car Park 6. The express pick-up area is on Level 4. Stay with your car - unattended cars can get a parking charge notice - and head to arrivals when your passenger messages. Follow the signs, which are excellent, unlike my sense of direction, which could take a grown adult round the inter-terminal shuttle loop twice. (I'm told it's possible. I refuse to confirm. It's a nice shuttle, but it's not a destination.)
How long can you wait, and what does it cost?
Short Stay rates apply: £8 for up to 30 minutes, £14 for up to an hour. Arrive when they've landed, not when the flight's "expected", because "expected" is airport for "maybe". The shuttle is a great place to learn this, if you've got time for a second lap.
Which airlines land at North Terminal?
easyJet and Emirates fly from North Terminal, and so do TUI flights with a TOM flight number. Our post on which Gatwick terminal each airline uses has the full list.
Or let a driver do the waiting
Book a Ridii driver and they'll meet your passenger in North Terminal arrivals and bring them home. No car park, no timer, no third lap of the shuttle.
North Terminal pick up questions
- Can I wait at the North Terminal forecourt?
- No. The forecourt is a drop-off zone with a 10-minute charge, so use the Short Stay express pick-up area in Car Park 6 instead.
- Is there a free pick-up option at North Terminal?
- Yes. The Long Stay car parks are free for the first 2 hours, with a free shuttle bus to North Terminal. Allow extra time for the shuttle.
